Wick Uses These For Everything From Firearms to a Clean Suit
APMEX teamed up with Lionsgate, the studio behind the action film saga, to release a series of specially produced Gold and Silver rounds to celebrate the newest film, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
The John Wick series follows the exploits of the legendary hit man as he unleashes mayhem and fury on the mobsters who have wronged him and the army of international assassins who want him dead. Exploding with highly choreographed gun-fu and combat, the action-packed neo-noir thriller films tell the classic stories of vengeance and redemption.
In John Wick’s world, goods and services are not purchased with traditional currency, but with Gold coins exclusive to their community. These coins allow Wick to purchase everything from firearms to a clean suit.
The limited-mintage rounds from APMEX are based on the currency featured in the John Wick saga, down to the finest details. A lion appears on one side, striding in front of a shield with sunbeams in the background, surrounded by the Latin phrase “Ens Causa Sui” and the Roman numerals “MMI.” The other side shows a blindfolded woman holding a sword and shield in one hand and a bouquet of leaves in the other. Above is the Latin phrase “Ex Unitae Vires.”
APMEX is offering three versions of these John Wick rounds: 1 oz Gold, 1 oz Silver and 1 oz Proof Silver. The Gold and Proof Silver rounds have micro mintages of just 100 each. These limited versions come in a capsule and specially designed box and include a branded certificate of authenticity. The Silver rounds come in tubes of 20, sealed with special John Wick branding.
